This J. Crew herringbone poncho is one of my favorite items in my wardrobe. It is from two years ago and I had to hunt it down to find one. I had passed on it when it had come out in August because it was still crazy hot and I couldn’t get into the mindset of fall shopping. This is the article of clothing that taught me to plan ahead!! Of course, it had sold out by the time that fall had actually come around and that left me chasing after it. I finally found one in my size on eBay and was able to pick it up. It ran very large so I had to get it altered to have the shape that I wanted.
I was so excited to shoot the pictures for this post because I love this poncho so much. I had all these great plans for how to highlight all the things that I love about it. Unfortunately, the weather had other plans and decided to rain! I wasn’t going to let that spoil it entirely, so I brought out an umbrella and waited for it to let up just enough to get a few shots in. Hopefully, I will get another chance to showcase this gem! Until then, I hope you enjoy the few pictures we were able to get in!!
