While walking down the street today, I heard something that I never thought that I would hear come from a construction worker’s mouth, “Hey, nice tartan skirt!”. Construction workers’ can sometimes be know for their “cat calls”, but to have one of them complement an actual part of an outfit with correct terminology?!  Seriously, I never thought that would happen (EVER)!  I am fairly certain that I stood there for a few moments before I was finally able to get the thank you out of my mouth.  Well, I guess it was just a reminder that you can never judge a book by its’ cover!  Even a construction worker can know a nice tartan skirt when he sees one!

I must say that he was right though, it is a nice tartan skirt!  I love this style of skirt from J. Crew Factory.  It sits at a nice spot on the waist and is really comfortable.  I had purchased a linen one over the summer and I think that  I am going to order a couple more of these wool ones in a solid color or two.  Right now they are also on sale and you get an additional 30% off of that!!  I received this necklace over last week while attending Lucky FABB.  Capwell + Co was nice enough to gift everyone that attended a necklace!  I was so excited when I opened mine and knew right away that I would be pairing it with my new tartan skirt!
