Yup, this herringbone vest again! I ended up getting the J. Crew Factory version of this vest because last year when it came out at J. Crew I wasn’t sure that I would wear it enough to warrant the higher price point and when it finally did go on sale, they were sold out in my size. As soon as I found out that the factory store made a version I knew I wanted to snag one. I learned my lesson last year that the XXS go fast in this vest, so I called J. Crew directly to make sure that I could get it. I even was willing to pay full price (something that I don’t do that often)! Two days after I ordered the vest J. Crew Factory was having a 30% off sale and I called J. Crew and they price adjusted the vest for me and I was even able to scoop up the infamous herringbone vest on sale! In hindsight, I realize that even if I had bought the herringbone vest last year from J. Crew, it would have been completely worth it. I have been pleasantly surprised by the versatility of this vest and how many different things that I can wear it with. Also, who knew a quilted vest could look so polished?! Thank you J. Crew for your wisdom!
