I don’t know how I have lived without the combination of neon and neutrals for so long. I know that the neon trend has been going for a while now and I was quick to add neon pink into my wardrobe, but aside from that I have really stayed away from the whole neon trend.
With winter seeming to have no end in sight here in Chicago, I find myself trying to find ways to add little touches of brightness into my outfits. This tartan skirt and poppy necklace were the perfect combination.
I love the little drops of gold throughout this outfit. They are sprinkled on the scarf and dispersed within the pearl necklace.
Yup, this herringbone vest again! I ended up getting the J. Crew Factory version of this vest because last year when it came out at J. Crew I wasn’t sure that I would wear it enough to warrant the higher price point and when it finally did go on sale, they were sold out in my size. As soon as I found out that the factory store made a version I knew I wanted to snag one.
The farm where we shot these photos is like a time warp and I mean that in the best possible way! I love that it is the complete opposite of Chicago.
