So, my entire goal when I was getting dressed this day was just to be warm and cozy. It was one of the days last week that with the windchill the temperature was below zero. This vest and sweater from Loft are two of the warmest pieces in my closet.
I hope that everyone had a wonderful holiday!! As we are getting ready to start a new year, I find myself thinking about what 2014 will have in store for me. In all honesty, 2013 was not the best year that I have ever had and am pretty happy for a fresh start. It was a year off great loss for my husband and I and it was a year that taught me that there are many things in life that are far beyond my control. 2013 will also be the year that taught me that we are never guaranteed anything in life.
This outfit was a combination of a few faves and new bling!! The earrings are from the jewelry line T+J Designs. I attended an event last week and they had their whole line there to look at and try on.
When I saw that Wilde restaurant had gone all out with their holiday decor, I decided to make a pit stop and have a moment with Santa and this reindeer (he was a little sad though with his broken antler)! Maybe it is my love of all things glitter, but I adore Christmas lights!
I came up with this outfit when I was trying to compile some outfits that I could have waiting for all the little gatherings and parties around the holidays. I sometimes find it hard when a dress is too much and when jeans just seem to casual. I liked pairing these faux leather pants with all of the feminine touches on top.
